About DU SOL - School of Open Learning, Delhi University

Prior to being an open learning institution, Delhi University was renowned as a provider of correspondence courses and continuing education. In 1962, the organisation was founded by the University of Grants Commission. The DU SOL is a pioneering university that offers online and distance education to both Indian and international students. There are over a lakh students that enrol in the School of Learning. The institution offers instruction in a variety of degree programmes for undergraduate and graduate students. Eligibility Criteria of UG Courses

Students must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 40% or higher in aggregate marks from an approved board of education in order to apply for admission to DU SOL's UG three-year degree programmes. The university's UG admission committee sets varied qualifying requirements for various courses and groups. A student must receive an overall grade point average of at least 70% in order to be accepted to the B.Com. programme or the Honors programme. Students are recommended to verify the cutoff scores for each subject in which they seek admission by going to the university's official website.

Eligibility Criteria of PG Courses

The student must have graduated with a degree in any speciality from a UGC-DEB accredited university or institute in order to be admitted to post-graduate studies. Students can enrol in the following two-year master's degree programmes in these specialisations:

  • MA Sanskrit
  • MCom

A student must first verify the merit list and requisite percentage established by the PG admission committee at DU SOL before enrolling in a PG programme.
The primary language of teaching in DU SOL is a conformable language of comprehension. Students may also obtain well-written printed course materials over the mail or during offline courses. The UG/PG departments for each subject run a personal contact programme that is supplemented by the faculty of DU SOL.
