Prior to being an open learning institution, Delhi University was renowned as a provider of correspondence courses and continuing education. In 1962, the organisation was founded by the University of Grants Commission. The DU SOL is a pioneering university that offers online and distance education to both Indian and international students. There are over a lakh students that enrol in the School of Learning. Students must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 40% or higher in aggregate marks from an approved board of education in order to apply for admission to DU SOL's UG three-year degree programmes. The university's UG admission committee sets varied qualifying requirements for various courses and groups. A student must receive an overall grade point average of at least 70% in order to be accepted to the B.Com. programme or the Honors programme. Students are recommended to verify the cutoff scores for each subject in which they seek admission by going to the university's official website.
