The Academic Council of Du approves the proposal for the entrance test, which begins next year.
New Delhi: This Friday, December 10, 2021, the Academic Council (AC) of the University of Delhi gave approval for the introduction of the entrance test for admission. This admission procedure for admission procedure will be active from next year. This earlier proposal required the approval of the University's Executive Council before it was implemented or acted upon. The full governing body is expected to meet at next week's meeting to discuss the proposal, which has been approved by the Academic Education Council.
The Academic Council, which consists of about 100 members, approved the agenda after a debate on the recommendations signed and presented by the nine members of the Delhi University Committee, which was formed in October specifically to consider the reform of academic admissions. The committee also called and discussed the issue of multi-admission and non-admission to undergraduate courses. The intelligent distribution of admission courses and the promotion of an entrance exam in the admissions process are now being reported.
The next meeting to discuss the permit is scheduled by the Executive Board for December 17th. The "Common Entrance Test" for the bachelor's degree leads to all economics degree programs. The Council has also paved the way. introducing the entry of the three BTech courses of the next academic session of 2022-2023. At least 18 elected councilors have expressed their opposition to this proposal. This is the new law that will come into force next year.
